I've maintained a strong desire for justice and advocacy since I was a young girl. I was "that girl" that would speak up when something was wrong. Although at the time, I felt like an outcast, I did not realize that I was being groomed for something greater. My voice matured into an invaluable talent. This gift has given me the opportunity to serve those that are voiceless, disenfranchised, and stigmatized. People who look like me. People with the same socioeconomic background from which my family arose. People who are ignored and disregarded. With that MOUTH FULL -Criminal Law is my primary passion.
I will say that the litigator in me enjoys civil litigation such as contract disputes and minor personal injury cases as well. I especially enjoy drafting motions/pleadings and arguing them - nerd moment.
On a personal note- I have a puppy. His name is Tot and he's a Maltese/Yorkie mix. He's so smart and so BAD! I'm definitely not getting my deposit back for the loft I'm renting.
In my free time, I enjoy cycling on the beltline and picking up a yoga class when I have the time.
