Nyonnohweah Seekie
Nyonnohweah Seekie is an attorney with a sincere heart for helping others and guiding individuals through difficult situations. She has demonstrated this by working with: families of domestic violence, serving a year of volunteer service in AmeriCorp, working with the Latin American Association (LAA), and the Macon Circuit Public Defender’s Office, where she gained immense experience as an Assistant Public Defender, representing clients charged with felonies facing over 30 years in prison on average.
Today, Attorney Seekie is the Owner and Managing Attorney of the Seekie Law Firm. She continues to counsel clients through the arduous territories of family law, immigration and criminal prosecution. She is responsible for cases ranging from Divorce and Custody, to DUI and Murder. She understands the individuality of each client, and though everyone is not afforded the same opportunities, she believes that each person has a voice and deserves superb legal representation.
In the community, Nyonnohweah is a respected advocate for issues of social justice and equality including: women’s rights, immigration and criminal justice, and serves on recognized boards both locally and nationwide, including Georgia Legal Services Program, the State Bar of Georgia, Macon's GAWL Chapter Executive Board and more. Nyonnohweah is married to her loving husband Cecil, and together they enjoy serving their community, worshiping at Lundy Chapel, traveling, and hiking with their dogs.
