Katherine Hoyt
I was born and raised in Opelika, Alabama, by two wonderful, hardworking parents and with one brother. My brother and I followed the family tradition and attended college at Auburn University. War Eagle!
After working for several years, I returned to school to pursue a J.D. While attending law school, I had the opportunity to also obtain a LL.M. in Trial Advocacy and Alternative Dispute Resolution. I graduated in the top twenty of my class and began work as an attorney in a Father's Rights Firm in Montgomery, Alabama.
In 2017, I had the opportunity to move to the Russell County area as the Alabama attorney for Meacham & Earley, P.C. in Columbus, Georgia. After beginning work in the area, I had the opportunity to take the Georgia Bar Exam. I passed and became a Georgia attorney in the summer of 2018.
Since moving to the area, I have not only become a practicing Georgia attorney, I also obtained Alabama GAL Certification in the summer of 2018 and Georgia GAL Certification in the fall of 2018. I was the Secretary of the Russell County Bar Association in 2018 and remain an active member. I have also had the opportunity to become involved in both the East Alabama Chamber of Commerce as a member and as a Board Member of the Young East Alabama Professionals.
