GAWL Path to Empowerment Series: Women on the Run - Where Are We Now?

20 Jan 2022
6:30pm - 7:30pm EST

Please join the GAWL Public Affairs and Programs Committees on January 20, 2022 from 6:30-7:30 for our annual Path to Empowerment Series. This year our series is a three part event, the first of which is entitled: Women on the Run - Where are we now?

This event will measure the progress women have made in the transition to legislative, judicial, and other appointed positions of power and/or leadership as well as discuss the importance of this representation.

This event will also feature a dynamic panel including Georgia Senator Elena Parent, Georgia Supreme Court Justice Shawn Ellen LaGrua, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Melynee Leftridge, and Fulton County Juvenile Court Judge Shalanda Miller, who will speak on their experiences in attaining these positions.

GAWL is excited to help our members measure and understand women’s political empowerment and its importance in attaining sustainable progress on gender equality. We hope this Path to Empowerment Series enlightens our membership and encourages them to seek leadership positions or to support other women in their path to leadership.
