 About the Book

In this inspiring book, you’ll hear powerful, firsthand accounts from women who have shattered barriers, navigated the complexities of the legal field, and found resilience through their triumphs and challenges. With forewords by Justice Leah Sears (ret.)  and Attorney Linda Klein—this book will serve as a valuable resource for years to come.

From re-entering the workforce after a 20-year hiatus, to combatting imposter syndrome, to transforming from a domestic violence survivor to a domestic violence advocate, to learning to navigate a male-dominated profession, to finding your true calling within the practice of law, and much more, the GAWL members who wrote this book, have seen a lot, done a lot, and learned a lot.  Lawyers are generally private people, so writing this book was a courageous undertaking for us. Our transparency, our vulnerability, our candor, and the sharing of our lived experiences are our gifts to you.

To every woman lawyer, every woman law student, and every other woman who strives to be better and have more while learning from incredible women with unshakable resolve who have been where you’re trying to go, this book is for you.
