Shevonn Willis
Shevonn Willis, is the founder and managing attorney of The Smith Willis Firm and has been diligently protecting her clients’ interests for over eleven years. The Smith Willis Firm, Ltd. Co. concentrates on Business Law as well as Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning. Over the course of Shevonn’s career she has gained valuable insight into the legal issues affecting businesses, individuals and families.
Shevonn assists companies in matters related to business formation, succession planning as well as drafting and reviewing various contracts. She also helps clients understand and stay compliant with the multitude of federal and state laws that govern the workplace by providing advice on employment matters. Additionally, utilizing various estate planning strategies and documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and advanced healthcare directives, Shevonn also assists individuals and families put the proper planning in place so that they and their loved ones are better prepared for the many changes that life brings. Shevonn particularly enjoys helping families with loved ones who have special needs prepare the appropriate estate planning documents. Shevonn prides herself on helping her clients feel at peace and empowered through the estate planning process.
Shevonn is licensed to practice in both Georgia and Illinois and has litigated numerous cases in both state and federal courts. For three consecutive years Shevonn was recognized by “Super Lawyers”, a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Shevonn holds a law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Shevonn has shown a commitment to her community through her volunteer services which has included serving on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations. Shevonn is currently a member of the Gwinnett County Rotary Club and serves on the boards of Rainbow Village, Inc. and Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services.
