How to Represent Survivors of Domestic Violence in TPO Hearings

Join GAWL and the DeKalb Volunteer Lawyers Foundation for DVLF’s Domestic Violence Project Volunteer Training. Attorneys in all practice areas will get the tools needed to help survivors of domestic violence and stalking secure 12-month protective orders. The training provides a foundation in the dynamics of domestic violence, the law and procedure for civil TPOs, the impact of domestic violence on children, and family law essentials for civil TPO cases. Attendees will also learn the mechanics of volunteering with DVLF’s Domestic Violence Project.

The training will be held on March 21st, 9:00am, at the offices of the DeKalb County District Attorney, 4th floor Media Room, at the DeKalb County Courthouse. Participants will receive 4 hours of CLE credit.

Parking:  Parking is available in the courthouse parking deck located at 125 West Trinity Place.
