It's Girl Scout time! The GAWL Foundation will host its 17th Annual Girl Scout Project on July 15-16, 2019 at the State Bar building downtown. The program consists of two tracks - a two-day program for rising 8th through 12th graders, and a one-day program for rising 4th through 7th graders. The older girls will get a tour of the federal courthouse, learn about different legal careers, have a one-on-one lunch with a lawyer, and take part in a mock trial. The younger girls will participate in group discussions about rules and laws that affect children and will make posters about laws that they want to change. They will also serve as the jury for the older girls' mock trial. As with past years, the GAWL Foundation has amassed an impressive group of speakers, including lawyers, judges, lawmakers, and law enforcement officers to participate in this exciting event!
