The GAWL Foundation awards scholarships annually every spring to deserving female law students in Georgia.
GAWL Foundation Scholarships are intended to:
*Recognize women law students who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence and an aptitude for leadership and philanthropy;
*Promote excellence in legal studies by providing assistance to deserving students; and
*Advance the missions of both the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers and the GAWL Foundation by enhancing the welfare and development of women lawyers and supporting their interests, and by encouraging philanthropy by women lawyers in Georgia for the benefit of the greater community.
1. Academic achievement;
3. Community service and philanthropic potential; and
4. A strong commitment to the profession.
Involvement in programs that advance or support women in the profession and in the community are given particular consideration.
